The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is ready to welcome snow lovers with two signature seasonal escapes: the Après Adventurist Winter experience and the Pinnacle Après Adventurist Winter getaway. Along with enjoying the convenience of The Ritz-Carlton’s ski-in, ski-out setting at Northstar California Resort, there’s a cornucopia of soothing spa therapies at The Ritz-Carlton Spa including a 75-minute Chai Spice Body Warmer with polishing scrub, a loose wrap and a relaxing scalp and neck massage.

During the Après Adventurist Winter experience, guests return to their lodging to find the in-suite fireplace crackling and their Après Adventurist ready to prepare appetizers and hot beverages, including hot cocoa for children and hot toddies for adults. Curated board games and movies help create a cozy, private cocoon, while the Après Adventurist can also have a tub filled with soothing bubbles waiting to help ease ski-weary muscles. During their stay, guests are treated to personal ski valet services, with the Adventurist available to guide guests on their snow sport adventure, and handle post-activity details such as drying gear and warming boots — or having a sparkling glass of Moët & Chandon ready and waiting. Personal concierge services extend to all dining and activity reservations. Prices begin at $1,199 per suite per night (date restrictions and advance booking requirements apply).

Guests will reach the Pinnacle Après Adventurist Winter getaway in a private jet departing from San Francisco International Airport, arriving at Truckee Tahoe Airport. From the time of boarding to the end of the trip, every experience is curated by the Après Adventurist — from private heli-skiing and snowboarding on remote Ruby Mountain slopes, to an Arctic Cat adventure tour, snowmobile tour, private stargazing tour on snowshoes and other select experiences. Other perks include a Northstar Platinum Pass, Platinum tōst, complimentary ski and snowboarding equipment with a private demo fitting, a private guide and first tracks privileges. Back at the resort, it’s spa treatments, a private Marshmology evening and dinner prepared in your accommodations by the resort’s chef, accompanied by sommelier service or a session with a mixologist.

Everything featured in the Après Adventurist Winter experience is also included. Prices begin at $125,000 for a four-night stay in a three-bedroom Residential Suite for up to four guests (advance booking requirements apply).

The Island of the Knights

Welcome to Rhodes, a medieval treasure beautifully preserved throughout the centuries. Rhodes is the capital of the Dodecanese, an island ideal not only for those who want to relax, but also for those looking for an action-packed holiday! With its bright green hills, rich green valleys and uninterrupted line of golden beaches, Rhodes is truly a blessed place. “The sun island” has more sunshiny days and milder temperatures throughout the year than any other location in Greece. It is, after all, one of the country’s easternmost places and among the first to welcome summer on its impressive beaches. Add in the excellent facilities for tourism, the island’s special blend of cosmopolitan and traditional, and numerous cultural and archaeological sites, the most important being the Medieval (Old) Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and you’ve got the perfect holiday destination. While on Rhodes, don’t miss a daytrip to nearby Sými. An island of sponge divers and seamen, Sými used to have 30,000 inhabitants before the Second World War and was the richest island in the Dodecanese, despite its small size. Today, Sými attracts many visitors thanks to its beautifully preserved Neo-Classical buildings and the famous Archangel Michael monastery at Panormitis.
