This May, Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, the official sister property to Versace Mansion (now The Villa Casa Casuarina), debuts in Miami Beach. The new hotel and restaurant breathes life into a 1920s, Wallace Tutt-designed gem, with just six guestrooms for the ultimate intimate experience.

Brought to life by Nakash Group and Vida & Estilo Hospitality, the hotel redefines luxury and personalized service. Each guestroom includes dedicated concierge and butler service. Accommodations showcase natural stone, warm wood and gold accents, as well as custom lighting and stone headboards. Guests can also expect luxe vanity areas and locally inspired art and decorative pieces.

The property will also open a restaurant helmed by executive chef Allesandro Morrone, bringing Coastal Southern Italian dining to Florida’s vibrant city. Focusing on fresh and high-quality ingredients, each dish honor’s Italy’s culinary heritage. Standouts include Pólipo al Insalata, carpaccio Gambero Rosso, rigatoni Nduja, black truffle cacio e pepe, veal Milanese and Skull Island prawns.
Other hotel amenities include wellness experiences like facials, massages and spa treatments at a partner facility; access to a fully equipped fitness center; exclusive beach access with daybeds and services like jet ski rentals; private pool access and amenities at an exclusive partner location; and more.

Getting to and from Leopard Sands River Lodge in Kruger National Park is half the fun, as it is a short, scenic drive from tiny Skukuza Airport (possibly one of the most attractive and mellow in existence) and main entrance of Kruger National Park, which turns 100 in 2026. Having evolved into a well-oiled machine since its December 2023 opening, it presents its first “wow” moment 30 minutes before even setting foot on the property. As baggage is brought in from the plane, drivers from the lodge set out a selection of beer; soft drinks; and locally produced dried fruit, nut mixes and biltong (the South African cousin to jerky). It’s a small sample of what’s to come.
