A new luxury, beachfront resort opened its doors in California this month. Rosewood Miramar Beach is the first ultra-luxury resort in Southern California to offer guestrooms directly above the sand.
The resort is also the first Rosewood property in the region, taking its name from the picturesque water nearby.
The property, owned and developed by Caruso, continues to reinforce the brand’s established efforts to embodying the very being of the community. According to Caruso, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts was selected to manage the property thanks to its own management philosophy placing local history, culture and sensibilities first and foremost when it comes to property management.
“Rosewood Miramar Beach is the culmination of years of hard work and dedicated service to the Montecito community. What makes Miramar Beach so special, beyond the incomparable setting, is its history as a beloved icon of hospitality — it’s simply embedded in the land,” said Rick Caruso, founder and chief executive officer, Caruso, and owner, Rosewood Miramar Beach.
The new resort is designed with inspiration from the homes and estates around Montecito and stays true to the brand’s residential accommodation styling.
The property features 26 oceanfront suites in addition to the property’s central Manor House, which features three suites on its own. Three bar and restaurant options, 27,000 square feet of meeting and event space and other luxurious amenities make the property a pinnacle for any travelers serious about reveling in luxury.

Day and night the river jostles with ferries, cruise boats, barges, speedboats and distinctive long-tail boats. We view it all in air-conditioned comfort.
