Rosewood Hotels & Resorts announced its final PlaceMaker of 2022: Rosana Alvarez, a sustainable farmer and educator. The PlaceMakers program, in line with the brand’s A Sense of Place philosophy, taps leaders in Rosewood communities to help deliver a taste of local culture through bespoke experiences. Each PlaceMaker aligns with one of the core pillars of the Rosewood experience, including Art & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Style & Design, Family & Lifestyle, Health & Wellbeing and Sustainability. Alvarez joins the PlaceMakers class of 2022 on behalf of Rosewood San Miguel de Allende.

Alvarez is a fourth-generation native of San Miguel de Allende, and co-founder of Via Organica, a local non-profit educating people on nutrition, environmental stewardship, sustainability and more. As a PlaceMaker, Alvarez will work with the property to offer curated experiences in the area, like a tour of the Via Organica ranch. She also crafted a destination guide for Rosewood guests.
