It’s art and more in the Mile High City, when hundreds of events including performances, literary happenings, special exhibitions, films and outdoor sculptures enrich Denver’s neighborhoods (Nov. 4–12). On Nov. 4, the Know Your Arts First Friday provides an opportunity to wander through Denver’s most creatively-inclined neighborhoods, with gallery visits, workshops and artist-meet-ups at locations including the Art District on Santa Fe, Golden Triangle Navajo Street Art District, Tennyson Street Cultural District, Belmar Block 7 and others.

Throughout Arts Week, the city’s performing arts community is center stage with comedy, drama, dance, musical events and more presented as part of Denver’s On Stage. A few of the many performances include Bam Percussion: The Blue Barrel Show; Sturgill Simpson in concert at Paramount Theatre; Absurd Person Singular by Alan Ayckbourn at the Louisville Center for the Arts; Twelfth Night at University Theatre, CU Boulder campus; comedian Amy Schumer at the Bellco Theatre; Super Scientific Circus at Parker Arts, Culture & Events Center; and the annual Denver Film Festival at the Sie FilmCenter.
