The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most glamorous events of the year. Just weeks from the event, one of the city’s iconic luxury hotels reopens its doors.
The Hotel Martinez, renowned for its private beach, a spa and Michelin-starred dining at La Palme d’Or, partially reopened March 5 after a four-month renovation. The reopened section includes renovated city-view rooms and new junior suites. The rest of the renovations are set to reopen in May, just ahead of the major film festival.
New additions include Le Martinez Bar, a Mediterranean restaurant and tea room, and Jardin du Martinez, a Mediterranean garden terrace, replacing the swimming pool. In addition, 99 suites will be unveiled.
The Hotel Martinez is part of the Grand Hyatt brand and, after renovations are complete, it will join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The hotel is the second property in Europe, after the Hotel du Louvre in Paris, to join the Unbound Collection.
