The Chelsea skyline looks a bit different; Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel opened last month as one of the tallest properties in the neighborhood, at 39 floors and 430 feet high. It offers one of the highest rooftop pools in all of New York City, with 360-degree views.

The property sits on the previous Antiques Garage flea market, where it takes inspiration from the flea market’s vintage vibe. The more than 300 guestrooms and suites are outfitted with wood-paneled and printed wall coverings, whimsical furnishings, concrete sinks and porcelain tiles.

On-site dining includes Cotto, opening later in the spring and offering authentic Italian cuisine in a family-style dining room. The restaurant will serve daily breakfast, lunch and dinner specialties, including burrata al tartufo and paccheri al pistachio di bronte. The restaurant also boasts an impressive mixology experience. The lobby bar also serves drinks, including complimentary, locally inspired cocktails four times weekly. The bi-level lounge, Somewhere Nowhere, also opens later in the year, with rooftop views of the Manhattan skyline.
