After a relaxing first day spent hanging out at nearby Taú Beach Club, I decided to keep the laid-back vibes flowing with a visit to The Spa at Velas Vallarta the next morning. With the traveling I did the day before, it sounded like the perfect way to reduce travel stress and soreness. The 55-minute, full-body massage started with a sweet scent filling my nose as I settled into my treatment. Each time my therapist moved to a different spot on my body, a new scent filled the air. With each scent, I felt myself getting more and more relaxed. My attentive therapist made sure to check the pressure, temperature and scents were to my liking — I could tell her goal was to make sure I reached ultimate relaxation.

The spa also offers a variety of special massages such as the Moonlight Massage, a couple’s massage in a romantic atmosphere; Candle Massage, featuring warm drops from a lavender candle as well as tangerine, salt, incense and palm wax; and Eternal Youth Massage, which helps the lymphatic system and eliminates toxins.
