Jumeirah launches a new global collaboration with Irish skincare brand GROUND Wellbeing, making it the world’s first hotel to offer The Biome Facial. This facial, officially launched at Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London, is part of the property’s Cancer Care Rituals offering, created for those going through chemotherapy.
In Dubai, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab’s three-floor Talise Spa opened in March featuring a dedicated program of oncology support for guests undergoing chemotherapy. Treatments include a cellular revival facial promoting DNA repair, harnessing the power of plant stem cells and tapping into epigenetics to activate sirtuins, “longevity proteins.”
Saint Lucia’s The Landings Resort and Spa also recently launched a new oncology program. The Caribbean’s newest Oncology Aesthetics Program debuts at the resort in partnership with Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation, featuring treatments and sessions performed by oncology-trained therapists for pre- and post-radiation comfort.

Getting to and from Leopard Sands River Lodge in Kruger National Park is half the fun, as it is a short, scenic drive from tiny Skukuza Airport (possibly one of the most attractive and mellow in existence) and main entrance of Kruger National Park, which turns 100 in 2026. Having evolved into a well-oiled machine since its December 2023 opening, it presents its first “wow” moment 30 minutes before even setting foot on the property. As baggage is brought in from the plane, drivers from the lodge set out a selection of beer; soft drinks; and locally produced dried fruit, nut mixes and biltong (the South African cousin to jerky). It’s a small sample of what’s to come.
