There are some exciting new updates, changes and openings this summer for some of the most popular hotels around the country, from Pacific Northwest openings to major renovations. Here are some of the highlights.
Openings
Hotel Theodore © Provenance Hotels
Provenance Hotels will open the 205-room Dossier hotel in the heart of downtown Portland in August. The hotel will be reminiscent of a private club and guestrooms will feature iconic images by photographer Slim Aarons.
Hotel Theodore, another Provenance Hotel, will open in downtown Seattle in November, designed by Susan Marinello Interiors to offer visitors a unique urban escape. The 151-room hotel will showcase a collection of works that reflect the vibrant, creative Seattle community.
Also opening this summer is the Hotel Californian, a luxury Santa Barbara-inspired property that will offer a Moroccan-inspired spa, an exotic relaxation lounge and state-of-the-art fitness center.

Renovations
Centrally located near Nashville International Airport, Hotel Preston is undergoing extensive renovations this summer, boasting a new restaurant, lobby, backyard with pool and guestrooms. Hotel Preston offers guests beautiful art-filled spaces and customizable amenities. Room renovations will be complete this fall with public spaces to debut in the winter.
This month, The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago will unveil a complete renovation including a new lobby, restaurant, bar, spa, meeting spaces and suites. Located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, the newly renovated hotel allows for easy access to Chicago’s vibrant cultural and entertainment scene.
