Norwegian and JetBlue signed a Letter of Intent to launch an interline partnership on flights between Europe and the Americas. The companies will kick off the agreement in early summer 2020, with flights bookable early next year.
The partnership will connect more than 60 U.S. cities with nearly 40 Caribbean and Latin cities to Norwegian’s network via New York (JFK), Boston (BOS) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL). It will allow customers to book connecting flights to and from JetBlue services under a single ticket, with luggage through-checked to the final destination.
“We are very excited to partner with JetBlue as this will make international travel even smoother and more available for our customers. JetBlue is the largest airline at several of our key gateways in the United States, specifically New York JFK, Boston and Fort Lauderdale, and this partnership will create a plethora of new route connections for customers on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Geir Karlsen, CEO and chief financial officer, Norwegian.
“The partnership will provide travelers throughout the US, Caribbean and Latin America with more affordable fares to Europe and vice versa. And not least it will offer seamless connections with two of the most awarded low-cost airlines in the world.”

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.
