Norwegian was the first European airline to offer free WiFi on all European routes and celebrates the fifth anniversary of this complimentary service this month. In recognition of the event, Norwegian conducted a study of its passenger’s Internet usage while flying, reflecting on the more than 19 million passengers who have used the service to date.
The study found 28 percent of passengers log into a social media account no later than five minutes into their flight, with 3 percent saying not being able to access their social media would ruin their entire flight experience. American Airlines and British Airways passengers are most likely to make a social media post regarding their travel, with 40 percent of Americans and 20 percent of Brits doing so. The most popular travel posts? In-flight selfies and wing shots, particularly from passengers aged 18–25.
German, Swedish and Danish passengers are often the quickest to connect to the service once on board, while British, Spanish and American passengers generally take their time. This may be because 10 percent of all passengers say they like to use the time to take a break from their digital devices.

Jan 15, 2025Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa Review
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa is an award-winning resort on Coconut Road in Bonita Springs, Florida, on the Gulf Coast between Naples and Fort Myers. Last month, I brought my 13-year-old grandson to the property for two days of water-sliding in balmy mid-December weather.
