If you’re planning some national park trips this summer, prepare to shell out extra cash for the experience. The U.S. National Park Service announced it will raise entrance fees to 66 of its 417 parks, monuments and sites this summer.

Seven-day vehicle passes for some of the parks will increase by $5 on June 1. The entrance fee to Yosemite National Park will increase $5 as well, making the total entrance fee $35.

The decision was made in order to bring in more revenue, improve the maintenance and infrastructure of the parks and combat overtourism. Last year, about 331 million people visited U.S. national parks.

Two-thirds of the country’s national parks will remain free to enter, but by 2020 about 117 parks will begin to raise their fees, including Cape Cod National Seashore and Badlands National Park. The revenue raised will be used to ensure much-needed maintenance and infrastructure repairs are carried out, in addition to making parks more accessible to all families, such as those with disabilities, the elderly or children.
