Napa Valley’s fifth annual Arts in April is a month-long celebration with more than 50 different programs, ranging from glass-art-making experiences, pop-up exhibitions and art tours. In addition, hotels around the Valley are offering special overnight packages. Here’s a look at some of the events taking place next month.

For the entire month, the Inspiration Station can be found at the Napa Valley Wine Train station, showcasing the work of Heidi Barrett, a prominent winemaker. On April 4, artist Gordon Huether leads a tour of his 15,000-square-foot studio and a hands-on art creation experience. Wine from St. Supery Winery will be paired with artisan cheeses.

From April 6–10, Robert Mondavi Winery offers tours of the permanent collection of Beniamino Bufano’s sculptures, daily at 11 a.m. On April 8, the Napa Valley Museum will welcome appraisers from Bonhams international auction house to provide verbal auction market values of fine wine, art, furniture, decorative arts, books, manuscripts, Asian art and jewelry.

One-of-a-kind art is on display April 11 at a preview tour of the Napa Valley Ruins & Gardens, a new visitor experience. Also on April 11 (and April 10), Yountville’s art walk and wine tasting includes appearances by featured artists. From April 13–19, HALL Wines hosts Wine & Art Exploration, a tour of the winery’s contemporary art collection and a wine tasting.

On April 18, the culinary arts take focus at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone’s Appellation St. Helena’s Annual bASH event, an opportunity to take food from CIA students and St. Helena chefs paired with St. Helena wines.

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of internationally renowned artist Carlo Marchiori’s Villa Ca’Toga, including trompe l’oeil frescoes, Roman ruins and 18^th-century follies.

Many hotels will offer specials during the month of April, including Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer’s Paint ‘n Sip premium, including easels, brushes and paints at $350 per night.
