Available for your sipping pleasure through the end of March, the elegant Merrion Hotel in the heart of Dublin expanded its already fabulous tea offerings to include a selection of Tchi (pronounced tchee). Inspired by the ancient Chinese philosophy of the universal energy known as chi, the chill-beating beverage is served in the hotel’s Drawing Rooms, Cellar Bar and Tethra Spa. The Merrion was the first hotel in Ireland to include a Tea Master among its staff of professionals, and present Tea Master Laura McGinn, who trained at the international Ronnefeldt Tea Academy, chose the new Tchi blends for their flavors and health-enhancing properties.

• Rose and Honey Tea is made with dried roses, honey, rose water and red dates and served hot or cold. Both soothing and uplifting, it can have a positive effect on the nervous system and the relief of insomnia, low spirits and fatigue.
• Date, Longan and Goji Tea is a blend of red dates, dried longan (a Southeast Asian fruit) and goji that’s served warm and may offer anti-inflammatory benefits and increase blood circulation while also relieving stress and insomnia.
• Jasmine Tea, prepared with dried jasmine and loose-leaf jasmine tea, can aid in reducing stress and improving digestion. Other benefits may include lowering cholesterol and encouraging weight loss.
