Meliá Campione, the fifth Italian property from Meliá Hotels & Resorts, opened its doors to guests this month on the picturesque Ceresio Lake waterfront. Set on the border between southern Swizerland and northern Italy, the 40-room boutique property is located about 10 minutes from the city center of Lugano.
Each of the hotel’s 40 guestrooms and suites boast incredible views of Ceresio Lake and the surrounding Alps from floor-to-ceiling windows. Amenities in each include a flat screen TV, air conditioning and WiFi.
In addition to stunning views of Ceresio Lake, the hotel’s restaurant, Dolce Vita, serves an extensive range of Mediterranean-inspired dishes with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Both guests and visitors can enjoy the restaurant’s daily international buffet and á la carte menu paired with a robust wine and champagne selection.
Additional facilities include a luxurious wellness and fitness center slated to open later this year, featuring a steam bath, sauna and gym as well as a wide range of spa treatments.

Meliá Campione joins existing Meliá locations in Capri, Genoa, Milan and Rome, with a sixth property expected to debut in Sicily in 2016.
To celebrate the opening, Meliá Campione offers a special rate of $191 per night for a double room, inclusive of breakfast. Book by Oct. 31 for stays through Dec. 31.
