A new convention and exhibition center, MEETT, is set to open in Toulouse, France, in June 2020. The new center was announced by the Toulouse Métropole Development Agency and Toulouse Evénements in November 2018.
The new facility will feature state-of-the-art amenities and distinctly modern architecture. The hall will feature 40,000 square meters (more than 130,000 square feet) of continuous space, which can be divided into seven halls. The space will feature an on-site hotel with 289 rooms and 5,000 parking spaces.
In addition to the inside convention space, coming in at 15,000 square meters (more than 49,000 square feet) and with a capacity to accommodate 3,400 people, a 25,000-square-meter (more than 82,000 square feet) outdoor exhibition space is also planned. The outdoor space will allow for large-scale entertainment, events and open-air demonstrations.
In order to complement the massive meeting space, the convention center will boast 5,000 parking spaces and easy to access to public transportation.
The new convention center is being pulled together with all of Toulouse’s partners, including the Occitanie region, in order to best showcase the economic versatility and dependability of the region. The convention center is accessible from center city in 40 minutes.
The first event set for MEETT is a worldwide fair for the space industry, Global Space in Toulouse by Toulouse Space Show, set for June 2020.
