Mandarin Oriental, Boston recently began a four-month, $15 million-dollar renovation project, which impacts all guestrooms and meeting and event spaces. The renovations are scheduled to wrap next month, with no disruption to guests’ stays over the course of the upgrades. In addition to new designs in guestrooms, suites and event facilities, the hotel also plans to enhance its award-winning spa, adding three new treatment rooms and wellness amenities.

Designs by Champalimaud Design give the guestrooms and suites a residential feel, incorporating early New England and Chinoiserie styles. Furnishings make use of bespoke fabrics and new technology, and premier suites will now feature kitchenettes.

The hotel’s 10,000 square feet of event and meeting space receives a new color palette, with a focus on jewel and neutral tones, with complementary accents. Each event or meeting space will boast its own personality, while still acting as a canvas for each event planner to create their own unique affair.
