Seaside seclusion is only one detail drawing luxury seekers to Mandarin Boutique Hotel, positioned in Butterfly Valley in the southwest Turquoise Coast village of Faralya, Turkey. Each of the eight large, spacious guestrooms feature hand-carved wood furnishings, a balcony or terrace and a private Jacuzzi with views of the glittering sea.
In addition to the nearby beaches in Oludeniz and Fethiye, private cars and motorboats are available to deliver guests to archaeological sites. During October, special Walking Weeks are offered, allowing guests to explore the surrounding landscape at a slower pace. Dates often fill a year in advance, so 2014’s schedule for April, May and October is now available for booking.
During specific Walking Weeks, guests will be accompanied by photographer and lecturer Nicholas Fischer, who will offers sessions in landscapes, seascapes, nature, archaeology and lifescapes, along with technical tips for capturing fabulous images, and a critique of participants’ work. Tasty bonus: October photography-walking dates coincide with Turkish Cuisine weeks.
