Celebrate two great British summertime traditions with afternoon tea from the iconic Fortnum & Mason atop London’s newest architectural icon, The Shard.
From June 23 to Sept. 8, The View from The Shard will offer a limited number of high-end Fortnum & Mason picnic experiences served 800 feet above the city on the 72nd-floor open-air sky deck
Priced from $130 for two people, guests will be able to sit on their very own picnic blanket in a garden setting and enjoy “sky-high” tea from Fortnum & Mason, all while taking in the fresh air and stunning panoramic views of London for up to 40 miles
Fortnum & Mason picnic baskets are stocked with classic finger sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, raspberry jam and their signature Royal Blend tea. Guests may opt to add Champagne when booking. The afternoon tea picnic will be served from noon to 6 p.m. daily. Booking opens May 1.
If guests prefer a weather-safe option in the unpredictability of the English summer, tickets to The View from The Shard will also be available with special afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason’s Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon.
