Brussels Airlines has raised the bar on comfort and hospitality with the inauguration of The Loft at Brussels Airport. The new business lounge centers on comfort, technology, design and Belgian gastronomy.

The new lounge comes on the heels of numerous investments to improve the in-flight experience of its short- and long-haul flights. Located in the airport’s A Pier, The Loft is open to business-class passengers and frequent flyers.

Four times the size of the previous lounge, The Loft accommodates up to 300 guests. The 13,347-square-foot space is divided into eight hubs, each with its own function. The design and amenities incorporate feedback and suggestions from frequent flyers.

Brussels Airlines teamed with Microsoft and Designit, Europe’s largest strategic design and innovation firm, to create a unique digital experience. Guests may opt to borrow a Surface Pro 3 for the duration of their lounge visit to access an app connecting them the airline’s Brussels digital lounge assistant app.

Dubbed Connected Lounge, the app allows guests to book a shower room, see the availability of the nap boxes or book a meeting room. The app also keeps passengers informed about the status of their flight and offers free access to on-demand video programming. Guests may also access Connected Lounge by installing the app on their personal device.
