Within the next three to four yeas, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will open a series of new properties in Asia, the first of its kind on the continent.
The IHG boutique brand plans to begin accepting bookings for its first Chinese property by 2021. Located in Haitang Bay in the Hainan province, the hotel will feature 251 guestrooms, a rooftop pool and direct access to the nearby Sanya beaches.
Also scheduled to open in 2021 is the smaller Kimpton Shanghai Jing’an comprised of 150 guestrooms and 120 guest villas, the buildings of which date to the early 1900s.
The third property will open further south in Bali, Indonesia, scheduled for completion in 2019. The villa-only resort will offer guests coastal views with touches of Balinese culture throughout the property. Guests will be able to request in-room yoga mats to help them find zen while enjoying the picturesque coastline.
As with all other Kimpton properties, these luxury accommodations will provide guests with on-site dining experiences that infuse local flavors into dishes, as well as spa services, social hours and local activity arrangements.
