Feature

Japan’s Haneda Airport is opening a new commercial complex this spring called Haneda Airport Garden. The project will have two airport hotels, 2,400 square meters (25,833 square feet) of event and meeting space, a hot spring facility, a shopping mall with approximately 90 stores and a bus terminal.

The facility will be connected to the airport’s international terminal, only a one-minute walk from both Haneda Airport International Terminal Station on the Keikyu Line and the Tokyo Monorail’s Haneda Airport International Building Station.

As for the hotels, the Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport, which Sumitomo bills as its “original luxury brand,” will have 160 guestrooms, all of which will come with a shower booth and views of the Tamagawa River.

The other hotel will be a 1,557-room Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport, which the company describes as a “high-grade hotel,” and will feature special room types such as Japanese tatami rooms and dedicated guestrooms for women.

Atop the Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport Hotel will sit Izumi Tenkuno Yu Haneda Airport, a 2,000-square-meter (21,527-square foot) natural hot spring area overlooking both the runways at Haneda Airport and the iconic Mount Fuji. The facility will have an open-air bath, four indoor baths, three hot stone spas, relaxation rooms and restaurants.

The facility’s shopping mall will have around 60 shops and 30 restaurants, plus function and meeting rooms.
