ITA Airways and Aeromexico just announced a new codeshare agreement, allowing customers of both airlines to enjoy more connectivity and greater benefits between both countries. The agreement launched March 10 and allows Aeromexico passengers to enjoy connections to 15 destinations in Italy. Likewise, ITA Airways customers will have access to 28 destinations in Mexico.
All customers traveling Aeromexico on the Mexico City–Rome route will now be able to connect via Rome Fiumicino International Airport. Through this agreement, passengers can travel using a single ticket, checking baggage from origin to destination to cities like Florence, Milan, Genoa, Turin, Naples and others in Italy. The same will apply for destinations in Mexico like Cancún, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara and Merida.
Club Premium and Club Executive passengers from ITA Airways loyalty program Volare can enjoy the same benefits and have access to the Salones Premier of Aeromexico in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Torreon and Chihuahua. Similarly, Top Tier Platino and Titanio members of Aeromexico Rewards can enjoy access to ITA Airways lounges in Italy, check an additional bag free of charge at preferential counters and have priority boarding.
