Summer hotel openings in Europe include the modern IntercityHotel at Amsterdam Airport, a new build with 280 soundproof guestrooms and a design aesthetic crafted by Italian architect Matteo Thun. Featuring a colorful, inviting lobby, the addition of this new property marks the third Deutsche Hospitality hotel brand in the Netherlands’ capital city.
“The site occupied by the IntercityHotel Amsterdam Airport could scarcely be more favorable,” stated Rob van der Beek, general manager, IntercityHotel Amsterdam Airport. “Our new hotel is the ideal starting point for travelers of all kinds. We are right next to Hoofddorp main station. Amsterdam, Leiden, and Den Haag are easily accessible for city trips, and the beach is close by too. Our bike rental service provides another good way of exploring the surrounding area.”
Located a four-minute train ride from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in the Schiphol Trade Park, the hotel features a restaurant with a terrace, bar, expansive meeting and conference Facilities, and a spa center with a sauna and fitness equipment. Daily breakfast is an expansive buffet, while lunch and dinner menus include an option for snacks and quick meals with regional favorites, such as tomato soup, goulash soup, schnitzel Viennese-style, and Guinea fowl served with potatoes and sauerkraut. Bar options include a range of specialty coffees, wines and cocktails.
