Part of the greater Seoul metropolitan area, Incheon is a major city and destination in its own right, offering a wide range of business, cultural and retail facilities. Nestled along the Yellow Sea, Incheon is the second-biggest port city in Korea and third most populous city, home to more than 2.8 million residents. Get to know the gateway to South Korea by strolling along the Wolmido waterfront, dining in the colorful Chinatown, shopping in the bustling Incheon Fish Market and hopping on a ferry to enjoy the offshore beauty of the city’s several islands.

GETTING THERE
Located west of downtown Incheon on Yeongjong Island, Incheon International Airport is the largest airport in South Korea and the main hub for Asiana Airlines, Korean Air and Jeju Air. For subway service, you can take the Incheon Airport Railroad Express commuter train to a number of spots between Incheon Airport and Seoul Station; fares start from less than $1 and cost about $3.50 to get to Seoul Station.

GETTING AROUND

Fares are about 90 cents for the first six miles and about 9 cents for each additional three-mile increment. The local bus system provides another great way to get around the city, offering service through almost every neighborhood in Incheon for fares starting from about $2.30. Taxi service starts from $2.30 and increases with distance.
