Hyatt Hotels announced plans to expand the brand’s footprint in the Middle East and Gulf Cooperation Council with the signing of management agreements for 14 Hyatt-branded hotels across the Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands.
There are currently 14 Hyatt hotels open in the Middle East and GCC, and the expected openings of these new hotels will double the brand’s presence in the region in the next few years.
“Today’s announcement marks a significant milestone for Hyatt — the introduction of the Hyatt Centric brand to the Middle East. The growth opportunity in this region is a testament to the global appeal of Hyatt’s entire brand portfolio as it continues to expand worldwide and offer more choices to our guests,” said Peter Norman, senior vice president of development, Hyatt.
Park Hyatt Riyadh, which will be situated near the Kingdom Center and the Al Faisaliah Center, will boast 275 rooms, highly personalized services, renowned art and design and exceptional food.
Park Hyatt Doha will offer a new, personalized luxury experience, two restaurants and a terrace lounge, in addition to 21,520 square feet of meeting and event space.
Grand Hyatt Kuwait will be designed to exemplify the Grand Hyatt brand’s signature level of grandeur with an abundance of options for unique experiences. The hotel will be an integral part of 360 MALL, an iconic premier luxury-shopping destination.
Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Residences Emirates Peal will be centrally located in the heart of Abu Dhabi and is destined to be iconic at 47 stories tall in the heart of the city.
Other hotels to be opened include Hyatt Regency Jeddah, Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla, Hyatt Centric The Palm Dubai and Hyatt Centric West Bay Doha.
