Houston Hilton Celebrates The Holidays With 1.5-Ton Chocolate Display

To get guests in the festive spirit, the Hilton Americas-Houston features a 7-million-calorie, 1.5-ton chocolate holiday display in its lobby. Award-winning pastry chefs Mahesh Weerasinghe and Glenna Artripe partnered to create the display, containing more than 7.6 million calories and 3,300 pounds of chocolate. The hotel installed unique holiday displays for the past three years, with this year’s boasting the addition of a chocolate sleigh, Olaf from Frozen, Dr. Seuss’ Grinch and a large gingerbread village on a chocolate floor.
