Hilton Worldwide signed a new property in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, Hilton Saigon, opening late 2019. Hilton currently operates two properties in Vietnam, with three more in the pipeline. “Today’s announcement underscores our commitment to grow our presence in Vietnam, both by introducing more brands from our portfolio of 13 brands and by entering into new locations. Ho Chi Minh City, the economic center of Vietnam, is a gateway destination for leisure and business travelers, and we are thrilled to partner with Saigon Cuu Long Corporation to develop Hilton Saigon as a strong addition to our portfolio,” said Guy Phillips, senior vice president, development, Asia and Australia, Hilton Worldwide. Hilton Saigon is commencing construction a short drive from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, next to Vietcombank Tower in the central business district. As well as major commercial buildings and administrative offices, the area is home to Saigon Opera House and Saigon Notre Dame Basilica. “We are proud to introduce Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the flagship brand of Hilton Worldwide with more than 570 hotels across six continents, to Ho Chi Minh City where Hilton Saigon is ideally poised to deliver memorable experiences to the world’s travelers who visit this vibrant city,” said Sean Wooden, vice president, brand management, Asia Pacific, Hilton Worldwide. Hilton Saigon offers 350 guestrooms, a casino, spa, gym, two restaurants and a bar.
