Hilton International is expanding in Sri Lanka with the signing of six management agreements with Melwa Hotels & Resorts Private Limited. The management deal comprises agreements for three Hilton Hotels & Resorts and three DoubleTree by Hilton properties.
The deal expands Hilton’s presence in some of the most sought-after destinations in the country and its overall growing footprint in Asia Pacific.
The six new properties, including three resorts, will open between 2020 and 2021: Hilton Kandy Resort; Hilton Yala Resort & Spa; Hilton Kosgoda Resort; DoubleTree by Hilton Nuwara-Eliya; DoubleTree by Hilton Colombo International Airport; and DoubleTree by Hilton Negombo.
Sri Lanka boasts a rich natural and cultural heritage, and has seen significant growth in international tourism since 2015.
