In mid-fall, Boston’s Hilton Woburn hotel completed a 10-month renovation from an investment of $16 million.

The Hilton Boston/Woburn re-opened with a new design and construction elements inspired by the neighborhood’s shoe and leather makers. The re-designed lobby encompasses area elements by way of reclaimed wood paneling, vintage décor and check-in desks resembling cash register desks from the 19^th century.

Hotel guests can settle into antique luxury in the Rivet Room, where large leather armchairs and billiards tables evoke a Victorian-era aesthetic.

A new culinary experience is available to guests via Hilton’s new Spanish tapas restaurant, Matadora. Under chef de cuisine William Jimenez, diners can sample meat, fish, cheese and olives the way they’re prepared in Spain. Traditional Spanish tapas dishes gracing the menu include Galician octopus, Basque street corn and shrimp toast. Guests also enjoy local dishes such as Vermont-raised New York strip and long-bone pork chops.
