Forbes Advisor recently conducted a study to find the best destinations worldwide for ski trips. The company analyzed quality, cost and accessibility of more than 6,000 ski resorts and ski areas to find the top 50 greatest winter sports destinations globally. Forbes Advisor scored the resorts on 14 different factors, including the length and variety of slopes, reviews from skiers and snowboarders, price and the quality of the apres-ski scene. Resorts were scored out of a possible 100 points.

- Sulvretta Arena Samnaun/Ischgl – Austria and Switzerland – 61.70
- SkiWelt, Austria – 60.64
- Vail, United States – 60.39
- Val d’Isere, France – 59.87
Les Trois Vallées is the largest linked ski area in the world and takes the top spot. The area features 600 kilometers of slopes across eight resorts, including popular places like Val Thorens, Courchevel and Meribel. The variety of skiing offered by Les Trois Vallées is practically unmatched anywhere in the world, making it the perfect destination for skiers of all abilities.
