There’s nothing quite like good wine and fresh seafood savored seaside. Florida’s South Walton Beach offers just that during two great festivals. From April 10–13, the 28th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival celebrates the world of wine at Baytowne Wharf. Themed activities include a Champagne & Seafood Cruise on April 11, Grand Wine Tasting on April 11 and 12, and Sunday Champagne Brunch at Baytowne Marina on April 13.
It’s day-boat seafood and white sand beaches when South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival gets underway April 24–27. On April 26, Chef Emeril Lagasse will be on hand. Produced by Visit South Walton, Wine Enthusiast Magazine and the Lagasse Foundation, the four-day festival showcases more than 800 wines and a number of celebrity vintners. Be sure to duck into the Culinary Village for pairings, and to sample local specialties such as Panhandle paella, Gulf Coast seafood gumbo, oyster shooters and Floribbean tacos.
