Finnair, the national carrier for Finland, announced last month it will add frequencies to its routes from Helsinki (HEL) to Tokyo (NRT) and Hong Kong (HKG), effective for summer 2017 flights. The additional flights will be flown on Airbus A350 planes.

The airline will increase the frequency with four additional weekly flights on its Helsinki to Tokyo Narita route, to be operated June 5–Oct. 27, 2017. Finnair currently flies this route daily on A330 planes. The added flights are part of Finnair’s joint business agreement with Japan Airlines, British Airways and Iberia.

The Helsinki–Hong Kong route, already flown daily on an A350, will see an additional three flights weekly between June 6 and Oct. 28, 2017.

The airline has seven A350 planes in its fleet and will add four more next year. Finnair recently increased the frequency of its Heathrow (LHR)–Helsinki service to five flights a week, which it said will allow it to “to meet the increased demand for capacity and cargo on this busy route.”
