For the third year in a row, AirlineRatings.com ranked EVA Air as one of the top safest airlines. The ranking system took into consideration general safety practices, as well as crash data. Each of the 20 airlines recognized for their safety standards out of the 407 evaluated by AirlineRatings.com met top standards under rigorous scrutiny. All of the airlines completed an International Air Transport Association Operational Safety audit, meet European Union standards of maintenance, have a 10-year fatality-free record, serve the United States from countries upholding Federal Aviation Authority aircraft operations, originated in countries fulfilling all International Civil Aviation Organization safety parameters and have never been grounded by a governing aviation safety authority.
“Our editors continue to be impressed by EVA Air’s attention to detail and its impeccable safety record. Typically, the best safety-oriented airlines also offer the best product,” said Geoffrey Thomas, editor-in-chief, AirlineRatings.com.
