Etihad Airways launched its app for iOS devices this month. To celebrate, guests booking through the mobile app will receive 10 per cent savings on flights before May 30, and Etihad Guest members will receive 250 bonus miles per booking.
In addition to booking trips, guests will also be able to check in and view their flight status, as well as view seat maps and detailed layouts of cabins. Guests will use the app’s scanning capabilities to check in by scanning their passport pages and to purchase tickets by scanning credit cards. Through a partnership with Abu Dhabi Airports Co., guests can also use the app to navigate Abu Dhabi International Airport with mobile maps.
“The mobile app marks a great step forward in our digital guest innovation strategy,” said Robert Webb, chief information technology officer, Etihad Aviation Group. “Through technology, we’re creating more personalised and tailored digital services and products to benefit our guests. This is just the beginning as we continue to empower our guests with greater control and flexibility over the entire booking and travel experience including how they choose to interact with our airline.”
