This year, Nashville, Tennessee, welcomes Drift Nashville, the fourth property of the Drift Hotels brand in the country, following the brand’s recent expansion to Santa Barbara and Palm Springs, California, in early 2023. Taking up a former inn built in 1966, Drift Nashville preserves the integrity of the building’s mid-century architecture while bringing minimalist and modern flair to the new hotel.

Using materials like leather, concrete and terra cotta, Drift Nashville extends the brand’s Baja flair to the East Coast. Spanning 87 guestrooms and suites, the hotel will also include a penthouse with some of the best views of Music City.

Drift Nashville will also be home to a ground-level pool with neighboring cabanas and three food and beverage outlets helmed by Alexis Soler. In the morning, guests are invited down to Dawn, the on-site café serving craft coffee and espresso using beans sourced from Good Citizen Coffee Co. Here, guests can also enjoy light menu items like pastries, yogurt and more.

Heading further into the café, guests will find a cascade-styled room located behind life-sized greenery. Here lies the Sun Room, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing east and west, a golden-tiled bar and comfortable lounge seating. This afternoon-to-evening spot is perfect for a refreshing, organic, soda-based cocktail featuring ingredients like yuzu, passionfruit and jalapeno. The Sun Room also serves small plates such as oysters, patatas bravas and roasted beets.

Drift Nashville features a pool and garden area with communal tables, towering fireplaces and, come spring 2024, an alfresco bar featuring snacks and cocktails by the pool.
