Santa Barbara, California, officially welcomes Drift Santa Barbara, a thoughtfully resorted hotel with modern interiors. Complete with a café and Baja-inspired agave and raw bar, this luxury hotel features modern and minimalist interiors to complement the original 1920s building with Mediterranean architectural design.
Floor-to-ceiling windows can be found throughout the property, with guestrooms incorporating neutral hues and custom, handmade millwork. Room types include bunk, standard and premium, as well as Drift Penthouse. Each room comes with custom-scented bath products with desert marigold and sandalwood aromas. Premium city view guestrooms and Drift Penthouse boast balconies, with the penthouse also outfitted with an outdoor lounge and fire pit overlooking the Santa Ynez Mountain Range, State Street and the Santa Barbara coast.

Drift Santa Barbara features two first-floor eateries: Dawn and Dusk. Inspired by Southern California and its surf culture, Dawn embodies a bright café serving Good Citizen Coffee Company; local pastries; and savory, house-baked treats. By contrast, Dusk embraces a moody, evening vibe with an agave and raw bar. Dusk features a rotating menu of signature cocktails like Picante Amante, a drink made with pink peppercorn tequila blanco, mezcal, prickly pear, lime and habanero. In addition to these cocktails and frozen cocktails, dishes see lighter and seasonal fare like roasted corn nuts and guacamole, and ceviche tostada made with fresh fish.
The new hotel also offers complimentary experiences for all guests. Experiences include yoga serenity (rent yoga mats and yoga blocks in the lobby), surfing (rent a 9-foot-2-inch Almond longboard with universal soft racks for car available upon request) and biking (rent a Dutch-style bike by PUBLIC in the lobby).
