The only thing more stressful and exhausting than airport layovers is a layover during holiday travel. Denver International Airport is making the experience a bit more enjoyable with the opening of a free ice-skating rink, offering relief to weary holiday travelers.
The ice-skating rink experience in the airport includes free rentals, music and carolers, along with a winter market and special live performances and events, including a movie screening of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and chorus groups from local schools.
Sponsored by United Airlines, the rink will be open every day throughout the holiday season from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Jan. 1, 2017. There will be a changing area and storage for carry-on luggage. The rink is located in the airport’s open-air plaza between the main terminal and the on-site Westin Hotel.
Strap on your skates and make the most of your airport layover this holiday season.
