The sky is no longer the limit for WiFi on select Delta flights. The carrier recently completed installation of internet services on the entire long-haul international fleet. The installation allows customers flying between the United States and Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and South America to stay connected at 30,000 feet. The airline is now the first to offer WiFi on all its long-haul international flights and will provide more than 400,000 Delta customers per day with in-flight service. The installation included Delta’s Boeing 747, 777, 767, international 757-200 and Airbus A330 fleets.

Joe Kiely, managing director of product and customer experience, Delta Air Lines, said, “We’ve invested billions of dollars in making our customers feel more at home in the sky through comfort, connectivity and entertainment.”

Onboard WiFi is powered by Gogo’s high-speed Ku-Band satellite technology. The in-flight internet portal offers free access to delta.com where customers can manage their trip, book flights, check SkyMiles accounts, book hotels or cars and check flight status.
