American Express and Airbnb launched an exclusive partnership in late October to give eligible U.S. cardmembers a new way to search, book and earn rewards on stays when booking with Airbnb through AmexTravel.com or the Amex Travel app.

Guests can now browse more than one million Airbnb listings on the website or app. Cardmembers begin by entering trip details on the dedicated Homes tab on the website or app. Then, they search Airbnb to browse a selection of homes and locations using filters like property type, Guest Favorites, amenities and more. When ready to book, guests are prompted to connect their American Express and Airbnb accounts and complete their reservation through Airbnb. After booking, cardmembers can view their trip on Amex Travel, while managing their stay remains with Airbnb.

Eligible cardmembers enrolled in the Membership Rewards program can also earn Membership Rewards points for prepaid bookings with Airbnb made on the Amex website or app. Consumer and Business Platinum cardmembers earn five times Membership Rewards points, Consumer Classic Green cardmembers earn three times Membership Rewards points on travel and bookings made directly with Airbnb, and all other eligible cardmembers earn two times Membership Rewards points.

Additionally, Consumer and Business Platinum cardmembers can earn the annual $600 Lodging Credit (up to $300 in statement credits semi-annually), previously called the $600 Hotel Credit, when booking an eligible Airbnb Luxe home for two or more nights. These cardmembers can also unlock access to a new, annual $250 statement credit on eligible Airbnb Experiences purchases after making a qualifying Airbnb Luxe booking.
