British Airways announced a number of changes to the in-flight offerings on routes to and from China and Hong Kong. Among the changes is British Airways’ plan to offer dark blue slippers for World Traveler Plus and Club World travelers. All customers have access to Twining’s green tea.
The airline now offers bilingual menu cards and the option of chopsticks or Western cutlery when dining.
“We understand how important it is for our customers to feel comfortable when flying with us,” says Richard Tams, executive vice president, China, British Airways. “Following customer feedback we have added a number of extra touches to our flights to and from China. These include slippers, green tea and chopsticks, which we hope will add value and create a more culturally authentic experience for Chinese customers when they choose to fly with us.”
In January, new dishes were rolled out on routes to China and Hong Kong, including stir-fried Kung Pao chicken or pork, and wonton soup with bok choi and noodles.
