British Airways announced new changes for its premium-economy cabin, World Traveller Plus. Part of a £6.5 billion investment, changes include a new look, service standards and dining experience.

New menus are available starting tomorrow and include extra main meal options and a more substantial, hot second meal later in flights. Launch menus feature braised beef with new potatoes, onion soubise and bourguignon sauce; roasted guinea fowl with cabbage; and rigatoni pasta in a creamy garlic and herb sauce. Meals are available for pre-order 24 hours before departure.

In the spring, British Airways plans to roll out new amenity kits, quilts and pillows.

A new seat arrives later in the year on Airbus A350 aircraft. It features a six-way adjustable leg, foot and headrest and a larger entertainment screen.

“This latest tranche of our £6.5 billion investment is set to improve World Traveller Plus and customers will see a real change to the cabin. In February the new menus will launch, followed in the spring by the introduction of new amenity kits, quilts and pillows for added comfort and a touch of luxury,” said Carolina Martinoli, director of brand and customer experience, British Airways.
