The Inns of Aurora Spa

In Aurora, located within the Finger Lakes region, The Inns of Aurora Spa is situated on a hill that offers fabulous views of Cayuga Lake. The focus here is on individual, whole-person harmony and healing. With two hydrotherapy circuits and holistic therapies at Rasa Spa, guests can participate in treatments including energy work, massage, hydrotherapy, facials, skin care and salon sessions. Between appointments, nibble on nourishing treats at the spa’s complimentary grazing table or at the seasonally inspired café. Multiday retreats can be arranged.

Willowbrook Spa at The Lake House on Canandaigua

Also in the Finger Lakes, Willowbrook Spa at The Lake House on Canandaigua offers creekside saunas, a private spa garden and a selection of ancient purification rituals such as the Deep Sleep treatment, restorative Pain Drain therapy and immune-boosting Resilience session. Try the Gemstone Facial Ritual, featuring a soothing meld of modern skincare technology, reiki energy therapy and the ancient power of gemstones.

Seawater Spa at Gurney’s

On the tip of Long Island, Seawater Spa at Gurney’s is scheduled to re-open its wellness doors this March after a makeover of its own. With design assistance from Alonso Balaguer Designs, known as the creator of Aire Ancient Baths in Manhattan, the fresh, 30,000-square-foot spa space will have a definitive Roman bathhouse vibe, indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, co-ed relaxation areas, a dry sauna, herbal-infused steam rooms and four brand-new bathhouse-styled pools.

On the Road

As I write this letter, I am halfway across the Atlantic Ocean on my return from an epic golf trip in Ireland. The weather was magnificent: sunshine and no rain ... quite unusual by Irish standards.
