Prospect, a new year-round retreat on the shores of Prospect Lake in Western Massachusetts, recently opened. What started as a picnic area for families in the late 1800s eventually turned into a camping ground. The site is now reimagined as a peaceful hotel. Prospect provides a new era of lakeside recreation and reconnection for travelers.

From the moment they arrive, guests are immersed in the wooded lakefront setting. Guests stay in individual nature cabins designed to provide a comfortable and calming stay. Each cabin offers floor-to-ceiling windows with lake and forest views, Sister Moons bedding, Sangean Bluetooth speakers, coffee and Rishi tea, camp chairs, and biodegradable bath amenities.

The Cliff House is at the heart of the property, offering panoramic lake views. The Cliff House Restaurant and Bar, a small gift shop, check-in area and indoor-outdoor spaces for gathering also await. Guests can enjoy a variety of hosted events at The Cliff House, like wine tastings, readings, art exhibitions and wildflower workshops.

On-property activities focus on getting outside and connecting with nature. Swimming, boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing, tennis, pickleball, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, hiking and more are available.

Guests can also use on-site Finnish-style saunas, lakeside saunas, communal fire pits and the saltwater pool. The property is also home to a variety of habitats such as pollinator gardens, wetland gardens, hardwood forest, an orchard, bee hives and sheep.
