TokyoTreat Box is here!!
A Japanese snack box with the Halloween theme … does this have my name all over it or what!? One of the most delicious variety of flavors in a snack box yet. The below are loosely listed by favorite, but I absolutely loved them all.
- Koikeya, salt & sesame oil potato chips — I’m a sucker for chips. These were the winners for me. If you enjoy the light nuttiness of sesame seed oil, then you have to get your hands on these. I am on a mission to find these at Mitsuwa (my local Japanese market); cross your fingers for me!
- Chocopie — As you’ll hear in the video below as I was unboxing, this was a very soft treat indeed, in the most pleasant way possible, too!
- Jellybeans — These are definitely in my Top 3. The jelly texture of Japanese candy is the perfect texture for me.
- Kit-Kat — sweet potato flavor. Wow! I have to admit, I was skeptical about this one, but what a special flavor! That is all I can really say. It’s not as weird as you’d think. If you’ve delved into the green tea, I think you’ll see why the sweet potato is not as strange as your instinct might think.
- Tohato Caramel Corn Puffs — These had a very delicate texture of crisp sweetness on the outside and airy fluffiness as you bite through the snack.
- Halloween Tomato Pretz — What a fun, zesty crisp experience!
- Energy drink-flavored bubble gum — This was such an intense punch of sour, it took me back to the days I was torturing myself with War Heads.
- Yaki soba — In the video you hear me saying it’ll make for the perfect lunch, but it didn’t even make it through the night. I ended up enjoying this with a movie that same night.
- Kobe Japanese Cola — Extra-fizzy and just the perfect portion of a guilty-pleasure drink. Definitely throw it in the fridge for a couple of hours before enjoying.
Everything is so fresh, I don’t know how they do it.
