After hosting a spectacular engagement party on Saturday night at my home, I spent the next day dismantling the decorations, lights and extension cords before heading to PHL for a trip to Atlanta. I was reminded on social media that it was just a year ago that I was there hanging out at the Intercontinental Buckhead; this trip I am staying at the St. Regis.

As luck would have it, there were no games scheduled at the Philadelphia sporting complex, so traffic was mild on I-95. I pulled in to park, and we very pleased to see a charging spot on Floor One, Section D right by the terminal entrance. I had plenty of power, but how could I pass up such a prime space?!

Security was a breeze, except for about a third of the passengers who have TSA PreCheck have no idea how to use it. I had only about 20 minutes before boarding, and I sat to check a few emails and ask our kind clients for donations for the annual Children’s Crisis Treatment Center Roundup Ball on December 1. Boarding was jammed, but as I made my way up the line, the gate agent scanned my boarding pass and said, “Hey, you’re the magazine guy from Global Traveler; I love your magazine!” It was a nice way to start a trip. Thank you, Delta, for having smart, well-read employees!
