As I shared in a recent Editor’s Letter, many of our freelance writers spent some time over quarantine publishing books. As it turns out, one of our industry colleagues, Melissa Braverman, who I had the pleasure of working with over the years in both New York City and Los Angeles, had a similar idea! And as someone who also dealt with the travails of modern dating before finding my own happy ending, this is a book I can’t wait to read.

Inspired by her blog, Braverman’s new book, Notes from a Single Gal in the City – Reflections on Dating & Mating, offers a fresh take on single life for thirtysomethings today.

YourTango.com selected Braverman as one of the top 10 people to follow on Twitter for dating advice, second only to Match.com. SingleGalNYC.com garnered praise from dating and lifestyle experts for its heartfelt and hilarious musings on dating.

Braverman’s stories will resonate with anyone juggling today’s dating scene, from online dating disasters to texting old flames. Braverman remained hopeful and optimistic through it all, and that tone is found throughout the book, which illustrates how the journey to finding love is as important as the destination. Today, Braverman’s destination is planning her own 2021 nuptials.

Available now in paperback and as an e-book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, the book provides insights about modern dating culture and advice for those navigating the dating world. Pick up your copy today!
