Several weeks ago over President’s Day weekend, I booked a quick trip to London through British Airways. The booking process was incredibly easy, and my flights were comfortable and convenient.

In anticipation of my trip, everyone kept asking me what my plans were while visiting. I have been to London before and know there are so many things to see. I didn’t have a typical sightseer agenda.

As soon as I found out I would be traveling to London, I started making my own agenda which revolved solely around meals. I made a reservation at Ozer, one of my favorite restaurants in London, and then made sure I knew exactly where Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecote was located and when they opened, as they do not take reservations. Another item on the top of my to do list was to visit Harrods and have tea and macaroons at my favorite patisserie, Ladurée, conveniently located inside.

From Saturday morning, when I landed in London, to Monday afternoon, when I left, I did a lot of eating and walking. I started thinking about what makes a successful trip and whether or not I achieved what I wanted on this visit. Although it is great visiting new places and seeing the sights, going back and having a certain familiarity is just as wonderful. I would say my trip to London was extremely successful!
