As the holiday season comes to an end, it’s time to start looking forward to the New Year and what it will bring. After the year we had in 2020, everyone is looking forward to 2021 and is hoping it will bring good news and positivity.

With all the uncertainty of COVID-19 still lingering, I haven’t really set any major plans for the New Year. I am just planning to play it by ear. I’m sure my family and I will still go on our yearly vacation to Ocean City, New Jersey. As for other trips, I’m sure my friends and I will plan some weekend trips and adventures to nearby states and destinations.

One big event I am looking forward to this summer is my best friend’s wedding and everything that comes along with it. She asked me to be a bridesmaid, and I could not be more excited; this is the first wedding I will be in since I was a flower girl in an aunt’s wedding. I am excited for the whole process: the wedding shower, bachelorette party and everything in between.

After the stress the past year brought, I really want to focus on bettering myself this year and becoming the best me yet. I know that is cliche and everyone says it every New Year, but I am sticking to it this year, and I am going to create better habits!

Although we still don’t have a clear picture of what 2021 will look like, I am hopeful. I will do everything I can to make it a good year and spend as much time with family and friends as I can!

Remarkable Medellín

Visiting Medellín in Colombia: The Country of Beauty is like stepping into a fantastic story — literally, as the city in the Western Colombian Andes region inspired Disney’s Encanto. Here, valleys, the world’s tallest palms, vibrant communities, colorful houses, garden-like balconies and more prove reality is more picturesque than anything on film. And it’s especially more tempting following Medellín’s remarkable transformation, shedding its troubled past and reawakening as a city of innovation, art, cultural richness, modern infrastructure, thriving tourism and resiliency.
